what snjv29 says about the compaign against caste discrimination:

so u think the solution to the current situation is giving political rights to the so called dalits. and u want international community to help resolve the situation who do nothng if they don't see any profit. look at the world as a whole. peace, prosperity, equality is nowhere. inequality prevails in every society. some places have caste system (india,Nepal), some have Class system (US, Europe). somewhere there is racial discrimination, color discrimination, ethical issues, religious inequality, gender inequality, nationalism issues and so on. so in my opinion thinking that international community can help solve our nation's issues is just childish.
giving just the political right will create a disturbing environment because i don't see any concept of "equality" in the minds of the unaware dalits. their concept of equality is "they ruled us now we should rule them." also the concept of the caste supremacy cannot be omitted from the minds of the so called brahmins and ksheteris because they have no idea bout the religion and wht it's teaching. they don't even know if they try to understand the meanings of sanskrit slokas from vedas which most of them know how to say then they fall into the category of the sudras(ignorant)
Ajyesthaso akanishthaso ete sambhrataro vahaduhu saubhagaya
No one is superior, none inferior. All are brothers marching forward to prosperity. -Rig veda

what i think is the core problem is religion and our educational system. we r way off from our core belief system(sanatana dharma or hinduism).we r completely unaware from the vedic teachings which talks about mankind as one family and all humans equal in every aspect. we don't know our history ( in most cases we don't want to know) and the western world has and will exploit us taking advantage of our instable social and political system( think bout direct political interference of the british after sugauli treaty). india itself is right now plagued by anti-national elements and i don't see any point blaming India for our nation's instable politics.

so in my view, we need a religious reformation. what we r practicing in the name of hinduism nowadays completlely opposes the teachings of the rishis(our forefathers). we need to wake up ourselves and wake others who r being stupid and ignorant. just think, will just giving them right gonna solve this situation. there will be blood and cries throughout the nation. so the reformation of religion will be a very peaceful and effective approach. we need to challenge our so called pandits swamijis make them know about their childish philosophies. temple education, cultural reforms and abandoning practices that are nowhere in accordance to the vedas. also the teachings of buddha for societal level is kind of similar to vedic teachings(budhism coming as a kind of reform movement against the ritualistic hindu society at the time of gautama).

the educational system too should be reformed giving focus on science and moral and spiritual studies. our own history and art as well as indian subcontinental history, tibetean art and history should be given priority than the european one sided history and culture.

i am just sharing these things to u cuz u seem interested in nepal's issues right now. i saw some videos about hinduism u have favourited. if i am wrong correct me but i don't think political reforms(which most people are pledging for) can give good results. my point of argument is not that hinduism is best or supreme, i respect belief and faiths of all religious people. but to correct the belief system(hinduism and buddism) which i think majority people understand can definitely bring positive results.
